I have a couple static bags of RAM chips (as I'm sure we all do) that leave me sometimes guessing what they are. They all have some sort of ID on the individual chips but it's usually not very telling. If I see a "1024" I can assume it's a 1MB chip but but speed is still a guessing game. Some of the newer ones like the Crucial and the Kingston have stickers that are informative but not always.
Is there some way I can easily tell what a RAM chip is by reading the markings?
