I'm recapping my LCII PSU by Astec. I ordered the Astec recap kit from Console5. The big cap on my board is a 180µf 400v nichicon while the one they sent me is a 220µf 400v. I know with voltage I can go higher but what about micro farads?
Not sure how to test the old one to see if it even still works. I know the PSU was dead when I tried to boot the LCII.
Is it safe to replace a 180µf with a 220µf?
