Hello, friends!

First, I need to say that I feel truly blessed to have worked alongside 11 amazingly brilliant people (all fellow vintage Mac lovers) to bring this forum to fruition. At long last, we have a traditional forum that celebrates not only vintage computing but YOU as an individual too! Imagine that! Freedom of speech and expression are lauded. Rules are common sense. No forum gatekeepers allowed. Any negative feedback received is treated with intelligent thought, not retaliation. Tinker Different is a place that celebrates members rather than forum owners. It's truly a breath of fresh air for me, as I hope it will be for you. No forum is perfect, so please offer us your feedback to let us know!

I've been a Mac fan since my Dad brought home a 128K with ImageWriter I printer in early 1984. I've never owned even a single Windows PC, although I've had the misfortune of using them on occasion. Suffice it to say, I'm a pretty hardcore Mac guy.

I'm an electrical engineer by trade, although working for a small Japanese company affords you the change to wear many hats like web design, graphics design, advertising, product photography, product videography, E<->J translation, PIC MCU coding in Assembly, and the list goes on. If you're in the market for a vehicle security system and you don't mind buying from Japan, check us out.

Perhaps the best way to get to know me as a person is through my YouTube channel because you can see me in the flesh! (By the way, if any of you have ever wondered why my channel is called "JDW" it's because: (1) that's been my online forum handle for decades, and (2) my forum handle is simply my initials.) The second best way to get to know me is of course through this forum. I'm also a member of most of the vintage Mac groups on FaceBook too. Feel free to contact me publicly or privately anytime.

Thanks for checking out my bio! Enjoy the forum!
