Beautiful work, but be careful my friend! The Lisa investors will be after you... this will cause their mouse values to crater! Stay safe!
Actually, it they won't be after him because of this...

No Apple logo means the EBAY sharks will continue to sell their Apple logo branded LISA mice for hundreds of crazy dollars.

But even without the Apple logo, I personally think it's awesome that Stephen recreated this hard-to-find item. Bravo!

I thought Mark Jozaitis had at least one Lisa, if not more than one.
Sorry @JDW I was just kidding around and trying to build on your and others’ interest in a hard-to-find Lisa :p. My internet comedy is rustier than a battery-bombed logic board! :p

In case anyone else is looking to do this, note that not all M0100 mice will work. Of the 5 M0100 mice I had, only one had compatible insides. First, it must be the version with 2 screws by the cable. I have one M0100 mouse that looks to be a rebadges Apple IIc mouse with a single screw on the bottom of the mouse (furthest side from the cable).

Additionally, there seems to be multiple versions of the two screw mice. You need the one where the mouse button is separate from the board.

On the plus side, you can have really amazing results with this model. I'd love one with an Apple logo, but understand the legal problems with that. (For the record, I did try adding it and getting it printed and the JLC3DP review process caught it and asked for proof I had ownership of the trademark , which I obviously could not provide). I printed in the JCP3DP black resin, as well as the 8001 transparent. Both turned out very good. Need to pain the cable black on my black one.

I printed a label for it on my Brother D610BT label printer with 24mm laminated black on white labels, cut down to size.

No pictures yet of the translucent one. Need to track down a compatible mouse to swap the innards from.

Quite unfortunate about the Apple logo. Javier Rivera gets around that by printing them himself, although the mouse he offers uses a modern optical mechanism rather than vintage…

Yeah, unfortunately, my filament printer can't come anywhere near the quality of a resin print, and I don't really want to purchase one and deal with all the chemicals and processing. Also, when I can get one printed in resin for ~$20, it doesn't even make sense for me to buy a resin printer at this point.

Sadly, it looks like JLC3DP has removed their transparent resin finish option. I hope it comes back, because the transparent finish looked good, and I'm trying to print a modified version of @Stephen's with. a slightly larger (if not accurate to the original) round rect inset for a logo. I'm going to try to glue in one of the rainbow Apple logos from on of my busted PowerMac 6100s... It's just a bit too big to fit into the existing spot. But I think it would look very cool, especially on the black one. Reminiscent of a NeXT mouse.

Really? Wow. I sent JLCPCB an order in transparent resin recently and showcased the speaker mounts in my recent video about the Mockingboard 4c (at 32:56). As shown there, I also had them printed in semi-transparent resin and then in White nylon.
Yeah, maybe it was something in the checkout, but I ordered the mouse case in transparent last week.

This week, it is not showing up. Translucent is the only option. :(

Never mind the guts of the thing! Who's gonna do a wireless board/dongle? Standard dongle with adapters for Lisa et al (ADB) connectors would be the cake inside the icing! :)

Using one of my very inexpensive, matched wireless KBD/Mouse sets seems perfect.
1) design a chassis/cover for the optical board to hold it in place on the bottom with faked up Lisa component side model of the real deal.
2) Paint the PCB/components up the way I used to do with pilots for friend's RC model planes in the seventies, voila!
3) when modeling of the KBD becomes available, Mechanical switch PCB would hook up to the matched wireless controller. :D

Fabulous work! What's the cost from JLPCB on a one off?

When they finally can hunt down a Lisa. They’re still looking along with the rest of us! :p
Apparently they've borrowed Lisa bezels and have done a hybrid version:

I've already got a front bezel (and that's the extent of my Lisa gear) and wish I had a Twiggy Drive Bezel.

I do like the hybrid version with the twiggy version of the Lisa badging. Unfortunately, not enough to justify the cost. To be fair, I think the cost is justified, I'm sure a lot went into the design and manufacturing...

I am hoping that 3d printing on demand eventually gets good enough with color customization and multi-color that one day we'll be able to order a complex, large part like that for relatively little money. We're getting there!

I'd love to see hybridization extended to single Twiggy slot/Profile Drive vents for BluRay access.

So far as printing goes, I like the notion of printing it in sections. Once joined, print assembly would be sanded smooth and painted for Prototype correct finish. Plans for my bezel include laser cut metal Panels and just a single wood foot on the right side per photos of actual prototype. ;)

So I followed up with JL3DP support and it sounds like the oil spray finish needed for transparent prints is on hold until after the Chinese New Year. So they should be back soon.

Separately, I decided to see if I could print one with an Apple logo at PCBWay and so far they haven’t rejected it. It’s quite a bit more expensive - cost me $45 shipped for just the top shell, but I really wanted the clear apple logo on mine. I plan to use the clear button and bottom from JLCPCB. Will be good to see if there’s a quality difference.

PCBWay spends too much money on marketing, failing to realize just as many people know about them as JLCPCB. And JLC doesn't do a lot of marketing that I can see. That's why you see all these YouTubers pitching PCBWay. PCBWay even approached me a year ago by email, and I replied back saying that most of the viewers of my channel might buy 1-2pcs of a PCB, but a MOQ of 5pcs doesn't make a lot of sense for the average hobbyist, or even for me. That was my rather pointed way of telling them No. (I don't allow YouTube Ads on my channel either, so it's not like I have something against PCBWay.)

However, despite the fact the techno-geek world has gone mad over JLC due to its lower pricing (compared to PCBWay), your statement indicates there may be some merit to PCBWay if indeed they will offer vintage Mac hobbyists more liberty when it comes to the Apple logo on 3D prints.

T-shirts are the same scenario. I had some shirts printed up at Printful, initially for my own personal use. The first one slipped through with a tiny Apple logo, but others were nabbed. "Macintosh" text? Nope. They eventually banned just about everything, except for some vintage photos they probably were unfamiliar with. So after designing my Bill Atkinson T-shirt remake, I gave that design to Javier Rivera at 8-Bit Tees, and he's printing it just fine. (No money was exchanged, nor kickbacks to me. I gifted Javier the design because, hey, it's just a remake of someone else's original design, and I want people to find it and be able to enjoy it. I did take some creative liberties though. For example I created the back design and the little graphic on the wearer’s right sleeve because those are not visible in the old photos of Bill Atkinson wearing that T-shirt.)

The point here is that when cloning 1980's vintage Apple stuff, it looks downright silly or odd if the Apple logo is excluded. Sure, you've got the wannabe lawyers out there banging on the legalities, but if you nitpick that much, you probably would decry "realoaded" boards or even Macintosh Garden. Sure glad Mark Jozaitis just plows ahead with his clear case remakes. His Apple IIc cases are great, and they even come with a color-striped Apple logo made in metal, with 2-sided tape on back, so you can affix it to the top of his cases and make them look 100% authentic (just in a different color). Funny thing about the MacEffects clearcases. There was one Apple keynote video where the engineering department had an SE/30 in a MacEffects clearcase in the shot. So even Apple likes Mark's stuff. :)
