$30 Box of Random Electronics

This popped up on Facebook Market place today: a box of random electronics for $30.

Hmmmmm. There could be some good stuff in there. Maybe... just maybe. I decided to go for it!

Oh, wow! An Apple M0116 keyboard! Complete with ADB cable! What a great find, I never would have guessed that it was in there!

But seriously, here are the worthwhile things I found in the box:

- M0116 Keyboard
- ADB Cable
- Belkin Cardbus to USB adapter
- Sealed Sony 8mm 120 minute tape
- 8GB MicroSD card
- Sega Genesis power adapter
- A composite video cable

Not bad for $30!

On another note, I have a particular fondness for early/mid 90's transparent plastic housings. Seemed to be on everything back then. I'd particularly like to find a transparent LCD monitor to pair with my tricked out Maceffects SE/30

Go search on eBay for "prison TV". You will find many options. I picked one up for my clear Apple IIe.

Whoops, missed it. Must be that translucent plastic!

I was able to power it on, but it hung at the "Palm Computing Platform" splash screen with a blinking square in the corner. I couldn't get it to move past that, even after a hard reset... so I dropped it in the mail for @torbar's Palm collection. Maybe he can get it running again!

Not sure which I like better, the palm, or the limited edition Pototatofi box it came in!

Ah, yes. The special edition Minecraft grass block box is courtesy of my 7-year-old daughter, who asked for a box and returned it to me like that.

Minecraft grass block definitely makes more sense though! It will totally live on next time I send something to someone in "the inner circle"

Ooooh handspring! I remember, my first paycheque from Blockbuster went on one of those and a 20 inch pizza. I carried it around for about 6 months, but then i realised i never really did anything with it, other than constantly put it on charge

I used to play DopeWars on mine in highschool. Teaches you good life advice. Buy low, sell high!

Just make sure it didn't lose power for more than 2 minutes, because then all your data is gone
