So, I've encountered my first problem with my new M4 iPad Pro, and it's a stupid one. Or am I the stupid one? Both are likely.

Why is installing fonts problematic on iOS? On Mac OS, it's no biggie. But on my iPad Pro, there is no straight-forward way to go about it. I had to download an app called AnyFont. But that didn't work because of one big issue...

I had over 300 fonts I wanted to transfer from my M3 Pro to my iPad. The problem is that once you do transfer them over to the iPad and use AnyFont, you run across an incredibly bizarre problem-

You can't select all the fonts at once in order to install them.

What???

I mean-WHAT???????

When I started work on the first art project on my iPad,, the idea was to do the entire project from start to finish on it. But due to font installation problems and a bug in Affinity Photo involving changing font color, I was forced to finish it on the M3 MacBook Pro.

Sooooo...my question for iPad users out there-

What's an easy way to install fonts on the iPad???

I dunno if it will help or not but I used iFont app to install fonts on my iPad Pro M4. Now, the scale of your situation is way over and above mine since I only ever needed to install two (2) fonts, but iFont did the trick for me and to be honest, I don’t really even remember the details. I DO remember that I added a font a while back to do a 3D printed sign for my house, but I had to dig around in my apps to find iFont again.

Having just looked at it again, I see there is a select, then SELECT ALL feature for moving them around. Might be worth looking into iFont.

My font experience ends with iPad/iOS right there. Maybe the upcoming iPadOS can do more? I see the public beta is available now!

I’ll give it a try and report back. 🙂
