I have a little turntable that I can program the speed on to take photos for photogrammetry. Programmed with an arduino to run a stepper motor, I originally built it for use with my Creality Scan Ferret 3D scanner.

The software for the scanner works best on windows, and I rearranged my office and don't have everything setup yet. This is a scan done with the Creality software in the past.

I tried photgrammetry instead of the 3D scanner. Meh results. I have a multi-card reader and I want a white faceplace instead of black. Painting would have been easier.

Round and round, took 52 photos.... let AliceVision Meshroom run for about 8 hours to plot this mess:

Then I spent about 4 hours just measuring and manually creating it in 3D instead.

Better result by doing it manually.

My faceplate results

But why do I want it in white? For a Mini eMac I am 3D printing. Notches in the bottom of the faceplate are for the spring loaded door.

I got the idea from a light switch.
