I recently installed a ROMINATOR I on my Mac Plus. Everything is working well but on boot the chime ends abruptly with a click sound at the end. Stock ROM chime was fine. Other sound fine. ROM seems well seated.

Is this expected?

I think there is a maximum time for playing the chime. I saw some time ago a youtube video from somebody who edit in the most recent Mac chime on a Rominator for a Mac 128k. It's longer chime than that of a Mac 125/515/Plus/SE. At the first boot try the chime was shorter and ended abruptly.

There is, but as I show in my video, you can make longer sounds...

Jump to the 0:49 second timestamp to head the short sounds, and keep listening to hear the long sounds. At the very end of each, you still get that little "pop" and I honestly do not know how to get rid of that. But clearly, making the sounds LONGER does not eliminate it.

I tried VERY HARD to get rid of it though. I tried fade-to-LO and fade-to-HI, thinking that if the output is normally HI when no sound is being made, that should eliminate the pop. But no matter how I faded the sounds at the end, the pop remained.
