Honestly I don't think we would even need to split them -- a single Power Mac category is probably sufficient.
I kinda wonder if it should just be "Power Macintosh" consolidated at this point, with the split being only old world/new world?
I think I agree with Old World / New World because that generally makes more of a software difference, although, immediately, the Beige G3 is kind of both by how Apple supported it.
If I was being really picky, I'd say PPC (Nubus and early Performa PPC) / PPC Open Firmware (Beige PCI) / PPC New World, but truthfully, most people don't interact with the difference. I'm also not sure why there is so much granularity in the 68k. The boundaries don't match the product lines. The 630 and 475 were a Performa, LC and a Quadra by name at least. It might more sense by date range, or CPU generation... or just "68k". I mean, how many of us go "well, I'll only read the Centris / Quadra section because I hate the Mac II and LC families!"
The other thing with this granularity is that sometimes, one post might cover multiple computers... so fewer is really better.
Long and short though, I'd kind of just like perpetual clarity (in the category description) on where to put a 6200 related post.
