Hi Everyone, and hello from Ontario, Canada... eh!


Just signed up and wanted to post a little introduction to say hello!

Living in Ontario, Canada.
Firefighter by day (and night..) but when I'm not at work, I'm either with my 2 amazing kids back country canoe camping, or working on a vintage 68K machine.

I enjoy rebuilding the computers from my youth (80s and early 90s) as well as running an early 90s style RemoeAccess BBS. Dark Systems BBS
I ran the BBS way back, starting around 1992 as one of the main couriers bringing European Demoscene productions into Canada (sorry Mom for the phone bill!)

Lately, I've been getting back into playing with CodeWarrior PRO 4 on my SE/30 & CC MYSTIC, and have written a few games and apps for 68K MACs.

Just ordered a PlipBox for my Amiga 500 (with TF536 FTW!) so I'm excited to start learning the ins and outs of coding for it.

My wife is from Saskatcha-toon (hey ladies! ). if you you know, you're probably from Saskatoon...
We travel out West at least once or twice a year. We're actually going to SK, then on to Canmore and area in a few weeks.

I'm excited to start participating more in this community.
It's great that so many people are into 68K!

Been camping with our kids mostly, they love back country canoe camping, but in the bit of 'free time' I have, I've been fooling around, trying to implement some of the feature requests and bug fixes I've gotten for Generic Block Game (AKA Tetris.. shh... )



When ready, I'll post a new thread all about it and the fixes/changes.
A few sneak peeks of the new features, etc.. attached...

Little progress update on Generic Block Game... Sorry, I really should start it's own thread. So last update here. lol

Built a little 'themes' drop down selection system into the Apple Menu. So far it's running well!
With any luck (and time) there will be a dozen or so themes to choose from (of varying quality).

Ya, my humour is embedded into this one.
My favourite so far is 'Secret of the slime'.

Over on 68KMLA I had a great suggestion / observation from joevt regarding the 'floor lock' timing, so there's a menu option to adjust that unit it feels 'right'.

Tetris and its clones are some of my favorite games lol. I do think it was my most played NES cart as a kid (and columns and Dr.Mario close 2nds and 3rds).

Can’t wait to give it a good play. When will it be done and what OS are you releasing it for?
