My latest acquisition - a very clean Powerbook 180 - still has the flap on the back and three batteries!

My Power Macintosh 9600/300 build is finally complete!
I've replaced the CPU with a Sonnet Crescendo G4 @ 400MHz with 1MB L2 cache, replaced the stock ixMicro Twin Turbo with a Sapphire Radeon 7000 with the full Mac ROM (swapped ROM chip) and the March 2002 Radeon driver. On top of that, i've managed to scrape together 512MB of the MOST ridiculously hard to find, and most insanely priced RAM ever - 8 x 64MB 168-pin 5v EDO DIMM's.
I have a Sonnet Tango 2.0 to go in it next, and i want to try and flash the Adaptec 2940 U2W I have to get some native 68-pin SCSI action going on in there. Then - I think I need a DEC-21140 based PCI NIC to add to it because the onboard 10Mbit is just painfully slow at transferring ISO's and .toast files over.
In 48 hours, planning begins for Christmas food...

THE FLYBACK HAS BEEN LOCATED! For some reason the bag it was in, had been put in the 4th floor kitchen/canteen/bar area of the office i work in...uhhh...why, i don't know.
However, that means that fingers crossed, the Plus will be fixed soon!

I have literally *lost* the flyback transformer i received in the post. I had it, in a bag, and then i've put it down somewhere and it's been tidied away somewhere - goddammit >_<
As if by magic, a flyback appears!
I'm 40 in a week. I'm too tired to deal with people that try my patience, play the victim and act surprised when I call them out on their nonsense -_-
Repairs are underway on 'the collection' - awaiting a flyback transformer from Dalbani - it must have taken a carrier pigeon to get here!
It's not a crime to think about yourself, from time to time. It's OK to focus on what you want to do, even if what you want to do is nothing much at all.
