SE/30 ferrite core missing preventing horizontal CRT adjustment?

Nothing is missing. That black core inside the plastic tube is the adjustment. Just use a 2.5 millimeter hexagon wrench made of plastic (an iron one gets hot).

    BlueSCSI Ultra & Ultra Wide

This problem is already solved. What I did not mentioned was that I used a USB extender, because of the way the two BlueSCSIs are mounted (see photo). To make the BlueSCSI UW better reacheble, I added an extender, but since I left it out, the log file does not show the errors: Platform...

    BlueSCSI Ultra & Ultra Wide

Here is the Jackhammer manual. The SCSI Manager 4.3 is yet downloaded and put in the system folder (and on more macs too). I start up with it and watch later if I see changes in the log file or notice improvements.

    BlueSCSI Ultra & Ultra Wide

I have a downloaded version of the manual. I don't have SCSI Manager 4.3 installed right now, but I look it up. My setup is as follow: Macintosh IIfx, 68Mb RAM, BlueSCSI V2W/BlueSCSI Ultra Wide (powered over the Berg connector), BMOW Rominater II NUBUS: J10: Apple Videocard J11: FWB Jackhammer...

    BlueSCSI Ultra & Ultra Wide

Recently I bought a FWB Jackhammer for my IIfx. It works (at the moment only with the external port), but besides quicker scores in Norton System Info, I don’t mention very much improvement in the startup. Are there any ini-settings to improve the speed?

    Old iPhones?

It is depending on the model. For the iPhone 5s there are 6 sub-models for different parts of the world. Model A1518 and A1528 are China and the A1518 does not support LTE bands, while the other 5 sub-models do (A1533, A1453, A1457, A1528 and A1530). A1530 is for Asia and Oceania. It supports...

    Old iPhones?

As far as I know the iPhone 5s and 5c are the oldest models that can handle 4G network.

    Rominator II + accelerator ?

Another good point of the Booster 2.0 is that it has a PDS passthrough on top.

    Sound issue recapped SE/30

I realize that my info is not complete on the sound itself. I checked the LB in my other known good working SE/30 with the same result. With a headphone plugged in both left and right channel sounds crackly, so it must by the LB itself. I was thinking of that. Pulling it of should not be the...

    Sound issue recapped SE/30

Recently I bought an SE/30 in a nice non-Apple carrying bag. It had sound, but nearly inaudible. A sigh of a needed recap. I did the recap (also my firts SE/30 recap). The sound is back, but it is crackly. So I did an extra cleaning with IPA and washed away corrosion around chips. Sexond...

Kennect Rapport & Drive 2.4 Troubleshooting

Does this mean that v1.3.6 (available on Macintosh Garden) does not have complete HD20 support?

Kennect Rapport & Drive 2.4 Troubleshooting

Update on testing on a 512k: I do not get it working. I installed Systsm 4.0 on the HD20 and on a 400k floppy together with the "Hard Disk 20" INIT. I would like like to use System 4.1, but that is to big for a 400k floppy. Both the HD20 and the floppy need to be the same system version...

Blue SCSI v2 SDCard CRC Errors and Other Issues...

That is strange. I have an SE/30, a CC and a CCII where the BlueSCSI runs perfectly with a SD extension cable. The SE/30 with a short one and the CC's with a longer one.

First official C64 in 36 years

I saw a facebook reel that they managed to find the original molds used in the 80s: https://www.facebook.com/reel/2411684162631266/?fs=e&fs=e How cool is that!

Kennect Rapport & Drive 2.4 Troubleshooting

Without the HD20 drive, the Rapport drive works fine under System 7.1, even with the 1.2 version of the drivers. I tested it on a IIsi, SE/30, SE, SE FDHD, Classic, Classic II. On the IIsi even "always on the first startup". On the compact macs, mostly a restart is needed. Second: the HD20 I...
