The great LCD in a Color Classic thread. Well, I wish...

I think that is also the case with the SE/30 LCD+AB upgrade. I hope to get it this week so I can experience it myself.

Sorry, I copy/paste what I saw was "the right messurement" Of course it should be 512x342. I change it. It is there right now. Just forgot it while I was typing.

The great LCD in a Color Classic thread. Well, I wish...

It's an improvement that it is 640x480 and the machine weights much less. Besides that, the System Info video ratings are even better then from an SE/30 with the 47Mhz PDS booster in it, even with the considderation that the SE/30 has only 512x342. With the LC 550 board (with FPU), the ratings...

Well, that‘s interesting to know, because I have a stock CC since this week. So the 84V mod is the best way to go and still can use all the different LBs.

The great LCD in a Color Classic thread. Well, I wish...

Yes, that's correct. But watch out: there are two versions replacement types ABs: one type that only works for the stock CC/CCII/LC520/LC550 LB and one type that only works with mistic of takky LBs. Lukely for all types of AB counts the same for the VRAM: VRAM at 640x480: 256k - 512k - 768k 16...

The great LCD in a Color Classic thread. Well, I wish...

The 16 colors limitation is only caused by the 640x480 resolution. With the original resolution with the CRT, and a standard 256k VRAM, you have 256 colors. I have an extra 256k VRAM in my CC+LCD and have 256 colors with 640x480. With an LC550/CCII board, 512k VRAM is standard and with an extra...

The great LCD in a Color Classic thread. Well, I wish...

That's right. The LCD is an 800x600 screen, displaying 640x480. Therefore, in vertical direction is a little bit of distortion. Most visable in the window bar.

    Swapping components SE & SE/30

There can be a difference in chassis. The SE/30 chassis has a cutout right above the PDS slot, while the SE, specially non FDHF models, don‘t have that cutout. Still, an SE/30 logic board will fit in, but you can‘t plug in expansion cards in the PDS slot. I have an SE FDHD that has this cutout...

    HD20 PSU problems

I recapped this PSU with the help and order-list of your recap video. I did some deeper inspection, did some messurement and found two broken traces on transformer T101. Probably caused during shipping, while it was not properly packed. Just a carton box and not bubblewrapped. So it turned on...

    HD20 PSU problems

Recently I bought on eBay an HD20 HD. The seller advertised with "Turns On". But when it arrived, it didn't turn on. I tested te logic board and the Rodime disk with the help of my other HD20 and they work fine. It even started up from it. So it is definitely the PSU that doesn't do anything...

Color Classic / LC575 Upgrade / Dead Internal SCSI

Oke, clear. I can now only think on a „no connection“ in mechanical way: internal SCSI cable bad, maybe solder joints of the connector on the logic board are bad or a connector pin is bend or broken off. SCSI chip sould not be the problem, because it starts up with external SCSI.

Color Classic / LC575 Upgrade / Dead Internal SCSI

When you have it startup with the external, does the internal mount?

Color Classic / LC575 Upgrade / Dead Internal SCSI

The other things I could think of: is the terminater jumper correctly set on the BlueSCSI and are there maybe SCSI ID conflicting between the internal and external SCSI‘s?
