WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

That's good to see that Zane has a public presence, but it does not explain what has happened with this project or the lack of available products at Garrett's Workshop. I do wish Zane all the best in whatever he is doing. For me, I went with a SuperMac Speedcard and going to move on.

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

I would also add one point. Going to Garrett's Workshop on Tindie, there is nothing in stock and some of it has been out of stock for more than a couple of years. There has been no recent activity on making more stock available. Another red flag that something is not right. I hope Zane is Ok...

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

As to the Blue Boxes the two Steves made, I guess you could say they both found their "calling" and the rest is tech history...:)

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

Is there anything legally to stop someone from building their own WarpSE based on what is published on GitHub? Not for resale, but for personal use, just like a BlueSCSI, which is sold (through an authorized reseller) or can be built yourself. The reason I ask is because the WarpSE was intended...

Tandy 1000 RL with a PicoMem

I have always had one issue with the Tandy 1000 RL, with only one expansion slot causing a lack of expandability. The introduction of the PicoMem changes all of that. I finally picked up a Tandy 1000 RL/HD with 768K of ram and decided to to see how well a PicoMem would work. The one down side is...

Why settle for one Tandy 1000 RSX when you can have two...

A 3D printer would not help. It's the stem on the power switch that is broken not the power button. I don't see how a 3D printer would fix that situation, much less with no way to attached it properly. The entire switch would need to be replaced otherwise.

Why settle for one Tandy 1000 RSX when you can have two...

The Tandy 1000 RSX was the last computer to carry the Tandy 1000 name and is rare. These do not come up very often and when they do they are usually very expensive. The last one I saw on eBay a couple of years ago went for over $600. I am always keeping an eye out for one at a half way...

I saw your post about your PC Chips M326 motherboard. I have one of these that I don't need anymore. It worked fine when I used it about a year and a half ago. It's a v5.3 revision. The AMD 386-40 is soldered onto the motherboard and I have an IIT 387 math coprocessor installed. The Varta...

    Software-only OVERCLOCK for LC475, LC575, Quadra 605

I have a Color Classic Mystic (LC 575 logic board). When I try to use the Soft-475-Overclock extension I get a red X on the extension during startup. Getting it on System 7.1, 7.5.5 and 8.1. I am using the v0.52 package. The documentation indicates that this is due to it not being supported on...

Clone Computer Systems Turbo XT Clone from 1986

I picked up this computer a few years ago on eBay for only $125. It was in nearly perfect condition with some initial signs of rust on the inside of the case cover that I was able to get completely cleaned before it did any permanent damage. I vividly remember seeing this exact computer in the...
