Yeah so I did a motherboard swap from a 466 mhz onto a 366 mhz indigo case, worked fine with the 466 screen assembly (grey). Swapped out the screens and bam, no luck. I still hear it booting up and everything. Switched it back, nothing. Its been a while so now I have a fully working lime model

Huh. I guess this is what happened to my magically stopped working clamshell after I swapped the screens from an Indigo one...

Does this help much with the smoothness of the hinge? Or is it not test-able yet due to the crack in the assembly? I'm considering doing it if it's worth the pain.

Is the graphic from the manual? I have a a lot of the original documents for the mac portable if anyone needs pages from them as well as well as a lot of the Larry Pina books which include a bit of help on error codes and such. They are probably all uploaded already somewhere.

Honestly, at the point I'm drilling through plastic on such a hard to find machine I'd rather just sacrifice daily closing-and-opening of the lid. The glue definitely is not enough -- it'd be awesome if we could manufacture some more of those assemblies. (call to the 3D modeling geniuses)

I had this issue as well. I could find zero info on it at all and its like my precious machine lol. I decided the best option for me was to carefully apply some superglue made for ABS plastics but this hasn't worked great.
