I have not been following in detail. Have you looked at addressing/solving the loss of performance when the address strobe signal is used for RAM greater than 5 MB (4 MB?)? Apologies if I'm mistaken about that. I think I saw it in one of @JDW 's videos.

I just did a "reorder" of my 2021 order on JLCPCB of the boards in question. The price of the boards was about the same at ~$50, plus a smidgeon. Last time, the shipping was $3... This time shipping is about $40 with another $18 in tariffs and about $8 in taxes. Total ended up at $120...

The boards I'm looking at are ~4.5" X 1.25" (113MM X 32MM) 4 layers. I think the last time I ordered 20 of them from JLCPCB they were a little over $50 total, including shipping, but that was back in 2020 or 2022.
