MMX CPUs require split voltage supply. They just won't work in a standard Socket 5 motherboard hence why Pentium Overdrive MMX CPUs exist (they have the proper VRM are part of the chip).

I came across a great topics (1, 2) here about the expansion card for Q950.
After ordering on January 12, I received it yesterday and it is already installed and working today.
Due to the fact that the boards are very small, the minimum order is 5 pieces.
Now DOS card on Q950 looks much better.

I have a few Pentium MMX chips kicking around, if I ever get my hands on a Quadra 950, I'd like to try this as well!
