I've been looking for a card with an unobtanium, last revision ROM on it for freakin' YEARS!
Pulling batteries of every kind from every Mac I ran across it packed up in a random box in a storage drawer just now . . .

. . . and I can't even let him know! =8-P

Well, at the very least, if I am involved in any transactions that generate from over there, I will try to move those conversations over here or into some other pipeline, rather than wondering when the comms lines might go down next. Unreliable. I experienced it myself recently in the longer outage, and had to find alternative ways to communicate, and we had to find each other. One person had to get through signing up here first to be able to communicate, and is now a member.

Hello everyone. I decided to stop by and create an account, not because I am worried about the MLA going anywhere, but to say that I’m glad to see some very familiar names still active in the scene, and to voice my frustration with leadership over there as well.

I have been an MLA member since 2001. It’s sad to see it run like this. I am not interested in a moderator position there at all but I have voiced my feedback as y’all have seen and it just falls on deaf ears. Additionally I really don’t feel very welcome there and have not for quite a few years. There is a clear (and necessary) policy against politics but it’s obvious that one side can post veiled comments to their heart’s content and it’s fine but one step in the other direction gets the thread locked or nuked. Tolerance is very one sided. That has contributed a lot to my absence from the MLA and thus my interest in the hobby has waned quite a bit too.

I will try to drop in here periodically, I’m pretty active on forums in general and love to see new options. Hope Cory can see that change over there needs to happen immediately before it’s too late.
