Recreating the Mac's CUDA / EGRET microcontroller chips - can it be done?

I‘m not quite sure if you are already aware, but datasheet and source code of the CUDA are floating around at 68kmla…

CodeWarrior Sending and receiving messages between two apps

I‘d also vote for AppleEvents, but ATP or ADSP might be alternatives.

Don‘t forget that the Mac mini officially doesn‘t support Mac OS 9…

    Strange IIsi Issues

Some people had issues with modern SIMMs due to bad contact (PCB too thin). Try gently pressing the SIMM against the socket.

    BlueSCSI v2 - DaynaPORT WiFi!

That‘s what I‘m interested in.. Depending on how much the WiFi chip is messing around with the frames you send and receive, it shouldn‘t be too hard for some „inter-BlueSCSI“ AppleTalk networking… Feel free to send me Wireshark captures if someone ever tries this 😉

    BlueSCSI v2 - DaynaPORT WiFi!

Cool! Does it work with AppleTalk? (As long as the other side treats AppleTalk nicely)

Transfer data from a old 2001 iMac to a new computer what cables and equipment do I need thank you

Best buy a 3.5“ ATA/IDE (not SATA) hard drive enclosure and put your drive in.. You should then be able to connect it to your modern Mac and transfer the files.

Emulator for MacOS 8/9 + Macsbug

Qemu? I haven‘t tried MacsBug, but it can run A/UX, so it should be a fairly accurate emulation

Apple IIe Card for Mac crashing during loop

G Well, ESD could harm a chip during improper handling and the effects may appear a long time after out of the blue. Was this card ever exposed to a harmful electric field, maybe wrapped in plastic foil or so?

    Mega 4 / Megafile 60 – How to backup?

Hi everyone, I have a fully working Atari Mega 4 with Megafile 60 hard disk. Now I'd like to make a backup of the hard disk in case it should fail in the future. I can transfer files to my vintage Macs using 720k floppy disks, but this would be a tedious work ;) What can I do? I guess there...

Support for PPP in The Old Net WiFi modem

No, using an USB-C to Micro-USB cable, but it should not make a difference. Did you try another cable? There are some cheap charger cables without data wires.

Support for PPP in The Old Net WiFi modem

I have an ESP32 board which probably uses the same USB<->UART chip. It works fine on my M1 Pro MBP with Monterrey and I don't remember installing any drivers for it. I use the ESP-IDF flash tool. The device shows up as /dev/cu.usbserial-0001. Product id (see System Information.app) is 0xea60...

Upgrading IIsi onboard RAM to 4MB

Yes this will likely work as long as the rated access time is equal or lower and the pinout is the same.
