My very first digital recording I made with my band was on a Falcon 030 in the early to mid 90's. We used Cubase, 4 simultaneous audio tracks was possible with an external scsi hard drive and enough memory. We would midi sync up keyboards and external multi-track recorders as well and mix into a...
I unfortunately missed the kickstarter window but would love to buy one of these to replace Hairpin switch keyboard on my IIc which is straight up terrible! Are these going to be available for purchase on the MacEffects site after backers are all set?
The lab here is also a music studio. All the instruments are on a guitar rack are indeed basses and are mostly Gibson Les Paul's. There's also an upright bass leaning on a piano in the way back. Good eye for noticing!
Success! Got it up and running! Thanks for the advice on this one everyone. I thought the hardest part would be drilling the screw which was actually pretty easy once I decided to go for it. The actual hardest part was organizing the 100 different size screws and keeping track of where they go...
This is why I (with no shame) have sent my boards for recap out to experts. Well worth the $$ and no hassle to me and there is still plenty I can do (swapped CRT's, SSD config and setup, retrobrite, etc...) to make the restore mine. Very impressed you fixed this!

I just picked up a few of these and I think they usually for $19.99 so it's a deal at $13.99. Great little cradle for your Apple Watch. Happy holidays to all Tinker Differenters!

One thing I've noticed with the RasSCSI is that when you connect the 25 pin connecter to your Mac there is definitely voltage that is sent through the SCSI bus which I assume is normal. I noticed that my SCSI2SD LED blinks whenever I've connected it.
I have the one that @This Does Not Compute created. Works great and is an easy way to use the slot and still get access to reprogram the USB and swap out the SD card. I got mine printed translucent and put a standard LED mounted to show disk activity which you can see clearly through it. Really...
I got started right as the pandemic kicked off purchasing an Apple IIe green CRT and base off eBay for from 2 different sellers for about $100. Like most of us I suddenly had more time than I knew what to do with. Over time using Craigslist and FB marketplace I got a 17" iMac G4 800mhz for $40...
I am trying to replace a dead hard drive in iBook G3 with a mSATA and PCI-e converter. I knew what I was getting into from the iFixit guide but there is a screw in the middle bottom cover that I just CANNOT get out of the damn thing. I have tried different types of T wrenches (supposedly it's a...
I assume it somehow protects the floppy drive while it's being transported? I have 2 of them, seems like something that should be able to be 3D printed.
I have a MAC SE that was upgraded with an internal hard drive after it was purchased in the late 80s. It had 2 800k drives that had yellow plastic slug discs pictured here to keep them from being used I'd guess.
I installed a SCSi2SD and mounted it on a 3D printed bracket (thank you @This Does...
