I measured and the only difference in depth between the resin part and the original was that the original has a deeper hole in the center. But as your printed version doesn't have that and still sits flush, I don't think that is the problem (and the fact that the arm the knob sits on doesn't...

OK, so the package arrived this afternoon. They look pretty good - certainly not perfectly clear (I think JLC3DP may not do as good of a job with the oil coating or sanding in crevices - which is understandable). But I think it is a worthwhile upgrade if you really want to maximize the...

I've had oddities like this in multiple prints at JLC3DP and I've just accepted the risk and never had uses with the outcome. I'm sure there is some risk that the model is not correct, but I'm guessing that would be fine to print.

There's definitely issues with the model that some slicers do not like. I tried to clean it up a bit and got better results with this STL from JLC3DP: EDIT: OOF - looks like @caver01 beat me to it and his export is likely better than my recreation. His looks good in JPC3DP's analysis tool as...

Sorry if I missed that in the thread. I'll add you to the list. Also, I'll use your new improved. version for the next order, assuming the results of my test print are good.

We're only at 8 at the moment, and if my first 2 work out, I'll have 14, so we should be fine.

I think I may still be able to do it for a reasonable cost. I'll mainly wanted to wait to see if the fit works before ordering more. Right now, if the part I merged works, I can order 12 and still get the cheaper <$4 shipping. The total for 12 would be a bit under $3 per knob, shipped to me...

If you want to wait a couple of days to place that order, I can give a report on the resin knob. Mine might be arriving today. For some reason, my knob order got held up a bit longer in shipping. However, look what did arrive today! This is definitely my biggest / thickest print in...

I have a clear resin version on the way. I combined your two parts because they seem to be able to produce complex parts that normally would require tons of support on FDM printers. It should be here this weekend or early next week and I'll post the results.

Design68: A 65% replacement keyboard using AppleDesign controllers

Good point, probably could get away with 4 cores. I think I ordered so match the original cable (or maybe the s-video cable that likely had the shielding connected. I didn't solder that 5th wire to the shielding of the other ADB connector in the keyboard though, because I like having it...

Can you share the STLs for the parts? I’m curious why the shipping was so high? I wonder if it’s because I have mostly only done small parts that can ship easily.

Yeah. PcBWay was much more expensive BEFORE the tariffs. Give JLC3DP a try. My guess is it will be 1/2 to 1/4 of the PCBWay cost.

Yeah, @tom_B has a much better understanding of the process than me. But much like I fumbled my way through the PCB design process, I stumbled my way through the full color PCB process. I only did it because JLCPCB had a coupon that made it almost free to do, so I read a guide, and used...

I may be going overboard with this clear stuff. I made an updated version of this mount that I'm going to order in clear resin as well. Not really much value in doing a group buy on this one because I can only order one at a time and still get the cheaper shipping. If you wanted to do the...

OK, I'll post here an update when the sample pair arrive. If they work, I'll place an order for a handful more for people who are interested. I just didn't want to order a bunch in case there were fitment issues.

Yes, I've used the 8001 with the transparent oil spray finish. I've had some very good parts, and some that were not nearly as good. I think if you want the highest quality, I'd go with PCBWay, but they are significantly more expensive (5-10x).

Apple IIe Card won't boot ProDOS

This is a bit of a carry-over from my other IIe card post. I picked up a IIe card from eBay several months back. It was listed as working. I installed it in my Mystic Color Classic, and while the card was recognized and I can boot the IIe, no matter what I tried, I could not get it to run the...

I highly recommend trying clear resin prints if you want to match the clear MacEffects case. I printed the mouse in my photos using JLC3DP. It’s not perfect, but it will be better than anything you can product using a filament printer. By a lot. I’ve printed clear cases for my HDI-45...

Would people be interested in a group buy (at cost) for clear resin version of these adjustment knobs? it looks like I could get them for around $3 each if I ordered 10. I have a combined model that should print OK in resin. I'm going to print a couple out and see if they fit ok in the...

It's a Design68 keyboard. This one is a bit modified from the original design to use a slightly different variant of the case. I go into the details in this post: https://tinkerdifferent.com/threads/design68-a-65-replacement-keyboard-using-appledesign-controllers.2952/post-36774 But, I would...
