I have no problem paying tax-but my understanding, wrongly-was that the full amount that I paid via Apple's site INCLUDED the tax. I did not realize that the amount of tax I paid depended on WHERE I picked up the M3. I thought the full transaction was taken care of via the web site.

Actually, I don't either. 🙃 Heck, I keep food and drink on a totally separate table opposite of the M3, as well as keeping my hands VERY clean. It's mostly going to be for dust. 😎

I just spoke to a teacher friend who uses Macs, and she's used these with her MacBooks. Highly recommended...

Hey folks...so, I've been busy installing new software on my M3. I'd like to keep tabs on the internal temperature. What would be a good temperature sensor to install?

One thing about Affinity Photo...the lay-out of the tools is very different than in Photoshop, so that will take some getting used to. It's early days for me, obviously. The image was already blurred to begin with; I was trying to use some brushes as well as the brightness/contrast tool. And...

The iMac is using Yosemite. Versions of Word on my iMac I use are: MS Word 15.13.3, & MS Word 14.0.

I tried that. When I tried to save documents the way you indicated, I'd get the following. I saved in that fashion anyway. But then, I wasn't able to view this document on the iMac.

My bad; I should have clarified. LibreOffice gave me problems when I tried creating documents on the M3 and then attempting to view them on the 2011 iMac. I'm using older versions of Word there, and I couldn't open up documents I made on the M3 in LibreOffice. However, FreeOffice easily solved...
