    Rocket Test

Sounds like a plan. Are you testing under RocketWare, RocketShare or both? ISTR that you can only run it under RocketShare on the IIfx? I was under the impression that the IIfs had a hard 1GB memory ceiling? ;)

How much of the 128K/512K hardware has been reverse engineered?

Yep, figured we'd be wasting way more than just the "other" 16 data lines. What's the lowest capacity 72pin SIMM extant? If one were but 2MB we'd still be wasting 3x what we'd be using besides that MB on the wrong side of the bus. ;)

Dedicated tinkering space (soldering and other)

I made a few suggestions to the cabinetmaker whose shop was across the street from mine. He was amazed by the way the tweaks positively impacted his workflow, the time and effort saved in the doing of it. I totally rearranged my friend's sign shop, moving assembly tables out of the dark to the...

    I miss the internet...

I miss the days of vibrant forums activity at Applefritter and the MLA from 2002 or so, pre Facebook infestation of the web. I don't know about the social media activity channels that have taken the place of long running discussions in the forums. Are they any good for searching long archived...

WANTED --- Radius Two Page Display driver --- WANTED

I've got a lot of Radius boards. Their ROMs and Drivers are often backward compatible. Have you tried the 4.4 driver?

Transfer files from PowerBook G3 Pismo to PowerBook 190cs

Thanks, I just edited that boo-boo, should have read Compact Flash, not SD. It's been so long I feel like a n00b as well here. IIRC you'll only need to initialize the CF Card in the 190. No low level formatting required? When it comes to volume size/OS limits I think I'll never get things...

    A takky Mac…..

Internal handle implemented. Bucket stays on the shelf. Simple cutout at top, back side of half depth bucket would suffice, no need to clutter a 3.5" deep top surface.

    A takky Mac…..

Beautiful! Wondering how long it will take you to have a sheet of plexi laid out like that for a clear bucket? We don' need no steenking handles! Not in a short stroked bucket with a beautiful wood chassis anyway. ;)

Dedicated tinkering space (soldering and other)

Can she or anyone here think of any hobby that's not ridiculous on the face of it to anyone who has no particular affinity for it.? I rest my case. I'm right there with you. I have project boxen of every sort and size. They come out whenever the fancy strikes and go back whenever I begin to...

Tony Stark???? Oh, the shop with the redhead? :)

Dedicated tinkering space (soldering and other)

Anyone with combination wrenches displayed in order by size on pegboard makes me scratch my head. That's what a triple-decker is for, organization as such in drawers. At the very least, keep that stuff in the likes of the red Craftsman four drawer chest I keep at hand.

Dedicated tinkering space (soldering and other)

Don't bother, it's obviously not that kind of shop. It looks a damn sight more practical for auto and around the house kinda stuff to me. Seems to have three walls to work with and no particular interest in trinketry. I have to laugh at the majority of shop tips-n-tricks I've seen over the...

70's Show? Got a link to his garage? Name's too generic, first and last, to be able to find anything easily. Page break discontinuity correction: Red Foreman's Garage?

Dedicated tinkering space (soldering and other)

Thanks, for me the knee room and KBD drawer would be as important as the additional worktop area. It doubles the surface area of the extension and slides out of the way for intense work on benchtop with handy access when needed. Interesting, I've used corners for daily driver workstations since...

found this ADB switch...is it safe to use

Ah! Interesting, though implementing only a single ADB port goes all the way back to the x100 NuBus PowerMac generation. So not a sendoff message in the B&W. ;)

found this ADB switch...is it safe to use

That wouldn't be a use case, dongles are almost invariably pass thru. Can't think for a single reason why a three-way ADB switch for peripherals wouldn't work for using in reverse. Don't think it's theoretically possible to implement ADB so that it's not bi-directional or device independent...

Dedicated tinkering space (soldering and other)

Looks great! I like that clean looking workbench, much nicer than the Craftsman designs in terms of matching storage shelf systems. Their garage workshop oriented integrated systems wouldn't fit into your light duty, indoor setup needs. Suggestions: __ attach a sacrificial worktop. Have it...

found this ADB switch...is it safe to use

Sounds like a plan to me! The only other use case I can think of offhand might be for sharing the likes of an ADB hand scanner between three different users. A dedicated, central location for that would make sense with three workstations lined up in a DTP shop.

    A takky Mac…..

Nah, 4K obviously won't work as it's a 2x2 1080p aggregate, no? 2560x1600 IPS would put one hella' slide show on the Apple Display Unit inside the bezel of my precious BabyPB. LisaPquarium home for my plastic fish would be a more likely end game for my left intact Little Bit of Lisa. I've been...
