I've found with MacOS9Lives it's a Russian Roullete if it works - my eMac for example boots with a tiny screen size then once installed it boots fine. Though booting back into OS X sometimes breaks the OS9 install. So millage may vary!!

I believe none of the iBook G4 models can offically boot Mac OS 9 though as Fizzbinn has said above Mac OS 9 Lives in an unoffical version of Mac OS 9 which could work on some iBook G4 models. I've had luck with it on my eMac but it's quite a low specification model so might have been the reason...
