To my judgement and experience, this is one of BMW’s finest interiors. I’ve driven one for many years and enjoyed every moment. Buttons, knobs, dials, but also digital screens blending seamlessly with the instruments. But maybe it’s just me getting too old.

Agree, my family has one too, and it’s a very fine and well thought interior. Still, put an old person behind the wheel and the judgement will be different. Ea h function should never be more than 3 “clicks” away, but it’s seldom the case. With physical buttons, each function is one action away.

Thanks for the insight. My goal would be to have everything done on one 68k Mac, preferably a plain 68000. I’m only missing something that can take binary and convert to “hex text”, byte by byte. If nothing pop ups, could be a funny project for reviving my acquaintance with Think Pascal.

Disk images are binary dump… in disk image format, so there’s some overhead on top of the original disk data. Eventually, I found out that Fedit can open and save each sector individually. What I am missing is some early 68k tool which can take hex and save as string equivalent, in a way data...

I suspect your machine is trying to balance performance and battery life. I have "max performance" as default setting.

I did some tests and I confirm I cannot reproduce the pattern you see (before/after sleep). Before / after has no impact and for some reasons I also get better scores than you get.
