Voyage Home is one of my favs & Bones is a personal favorite of mine. Loved the cameo on TNG & the hospital scene is epic. Karl Urban reprised the role really well I think. I get it being built around an episode concept, just a ST fan being obnoxious is all. I agree on the work spaces we create...

You'd think the TNG folks could've gotten more creative with something like bioengineered nano robots that would repair/regenerate the heart tissues through a hypospray or some other fantastical awesomeness but no, we get some goofy mechanical heart for Sexiest Man of the Year 1992. Surprisingly...

I can tell you that my wife finds what we do absolutely ridiculous lol. Now, me maintaining my daily drivers and her vdub, she sees pragmatic value there - time and money saved. Anyhow, I tinker with so many different things, I appreciate nice spaces to do work regardless of the discipline and...

Another one of my favorite TV/Movie garages is Clint Eastwoods garage in the Gran Torino. Very cool, pegboard garage. Subsequently both characters Red Forman and Walt Kowalski are retired Marines.

Oh boy, that is righteous. I gotta build me some of that. Something like that would exist in Red Foreman's garage. Love it.

Massive Vintage Apple Haul in Idaho

Man that is a lot of dough when I see alot of interest but zero guarantee that you will recoup that cost. It is awesome that you have saved these machines and want to provide them at a fair price but I have a hard time with the notion that you'll have to invest another 800 bones for folks to...

That is a nice idea to install on top, a larger sacrificial desktop - protects the actual unit and gives you more space. I am a fan of L shape benches/desks (I have two). Corner storage by itself can be tough. Since you've bought the bench and are feeling cramped with the compact mac on there...

Adding the Mac Mini G4 to the collection 😁

Indeed. I really like trayloader imacg3s for OS8.6-9.2.2. I have OS9 on a dual 1ghz QS w/ 22" ACD that really flies but something about using it on a 233mhz g3 through a curved CRT that feels incredibly nostalgic and appropriate. Anyhow to answer your initial question, yeah, I'd love to have a...

Adding the Mac Mini G4 to the collection 😁

Target disk mode. Most of the time, my mini g4 lives on the end of one of my floating book shelves. There's a 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 image on it that I used to TDM onto powerpc ibook/powerbooks as I'd get them. Those have really dried up over the past few years, so it just hangs out on my shelf mostly.

They're a handy ppc TDM machine to have around. If I could find a C2duo model, I'd have matching book ends for my book shelf :)

Saw these black steel shelves at Costco. They remind me of the shelves mac84 Steve installed in his basement. These things look indestructible. Not cheap & could be too industrial for Missus Muon but heck these would last forever I think.

Looks like the BROR would mesh pretty seamlessly into your existing desk set up and look pretty great. I dont think I would look much farther than that unless BROR is not budget friendly. Anyhow, my workstation is in my garage, away from little hands with plenty of storage and pegboard for tools...

Full disclosure - at first glance of your saw, the first image that popped into my head was Hannibal Lecter fabricating lunch. Tenderloin of human, anyone? :D

I rarely toast anything other than various breads I make ie: sandwich, brioche, Challah etc. in my Dualit. If you're referring to something like a Pillsbury Toaster struedel , no I dont often make sweets anymore as I try to limit highly refined sugars (lol refined AP white flour for breads ... I...

I just fixed my Dualit four slice toaster which is a favorite appliance of mine. I've had it for about 15 years at this point with continuous use through that time. I replaced its Mi7 switch which finally burnt out. $40 bucks from GB and it's back together and toasting great. In a world of throw...
