I just picked up an ailing MDD with power problem... I have a ATX FLEX 600W psu I will try to fit in, much smaller than the original PSU, so it should fit internally.

I pulled the rear fan from the dual 1.8 and put it on the air cooled dual 2.5. Ran the ASD for everything but the CPU, that passed. Then ran the CPU tests, passed. Then ran the thermal calibration... did not finish after an hour, assumed it was frozen... restarted and the fans were quieter...

The wifi card slot is mPCIE, which is different than mSATA. They both share the same form factor (like M.2 can be SATA or NVMe), but they are different logically. The reason the dual SATA card works is because of the SATA controller on the board. Mine happens to be the asmedia ASM1061...
