I don't think these particular adapters will work - the size and type of the NeXT battery is different than the 1/2 AA you get in Macs. Pretty sure it's this one. I'd have to go pull one of mine to double check, but I'm 99% sure this is it...

Agreed. We are getting ready for our first formal board meeting, and getting this work done is certainly part of our duties. We're still painting the trim and planting the flowers around here, but we know that's a task :)

Not sure how available it is, but our local co-op has a brand called "Equal Exchange" and I really like their "Mind, Body, and Soul" blend. Not super dark, but still has good body and flavor.

I'm also aware of random problems with 2-chip and 3-chip SIMMs, but don't have any hard references handy. I've been lucky that I can generally scrounge up other SIMMs until I find something that works reliably.

I ordered this cart full of caps from Mouser yesterday. Two of them were on back order. I got an update today - one is estimated to be available to ship in Febrary and the other next May :-)

There is a Free Geek in Portland; might be worth checking them out and see if they process/sell vintage machines. Vintage Macs are big for us at Free Geek Twin Cities :-)

I have Speedometer handy, and while it's basic it tells me what I want to know. Plus, I figure if I use the same tool all over, the results should be fairly consistent within that universe of data.
