Hello! The man who made the board, here :D You should be fine - all the birdseed is pre-populated - not all pads were needed to be populated, some were left intentionally blank - all the ASICs are the same between revisions - should be A-OK :)

Unfortunately, i'm running the latest BIOS and it still only shows 2GB that i can allocate, as max. Probably because this is the thinkbook 'office' line, not the slightly more professional 'E' series thinkpads.

You just reminded me of something my brother makes. Chili, but topped with mashed potato and cheese. Mexican cottage pie, basically.

It was a store bought unsmoked gammon joint - boiled with bayleaf and peppercorns to reduce the salt content, then dried, skin/fat sliced, oiled and salted, cooked at 220*c for 50 mins. Boiling it first stops it drying out in the oven, too.
