    BlueSCSI v1.1 issues

just to get it out of the way, i downloaded the example files and boot them on my SD card, only for the same result, I really don't know where i'm going wrong, my bluescsi is recognizing SD cards, reading the files on them, but it's not emulating the drives, is there anything i'm missing, is...

    BlueSCSI v1.1 issues

I don't quite know how to add things to an image using emulators yet. I'm still working on that one One thing I have noticed today since I decided to tinker with the Mac today, I put a blank image on the blueSCSI, and booted from a System 6 startup diskette that I use with my dual FDD SE. And I...

    BlueSCSI v1.1 issues

well what are some things that i can do to make this work? it really is just a copy of the original hard disk that i'd like to be bootable. i have a copy of the old hard drive in a img file, I don't know if what I have is everything. The name of the original drive was "Boris" it seems like all...

diskcopy? is that a program? no i booted the physical machine into system 7, i had a bunch of blank images that i made in disk jockey loaded onto an external bluescsi. and i dragged and dropped the harddisk from the desktop onto the bluescsi. i assumed it had worked because i could boot the...

    BlueSCSI v1.1 issues

i have to imagine it's working since i am getting status lights and power lights, and whenever i delete the log file, it creates a new one, so i have to imagine that it is in fact seeing the SD card. could it be that there's an issue with my disk images?

    BlueSCSI v1.1 issues

the Machine is a Macintosh SE/30, i've tried going through the troubleshooting guide. i have five blinks at start up, then i get the floppy disk with the question mark. i've tried making new images, i've tried changing the names and the SCSI IDs and none of it seems to work. this is 1:1 copy...

    SCSI Drive cloning?

I'm still waiting on mine to arrive. I'm sure once I get my hands on it and fail a few times, I'll figure it out. Right now I'm still trying to figure out exactly what's going on. I only bring up my previous encounters with emulators because I've avoided learning them for so long that I'm not...

    SCSI Drive cloning?

I'm just not familiar with VMs or emulators enough to really understand. But what I'm understanding is, instead of actually having to partition an SD card, I could just put two images on there and those files will act as my partitions? Emulation is very new to me, part of the reason I...

    SCSI Drive cloning?

I read some stuff on the BlueSCSI website, but it looks like it's meant to be used with an emulator or VM. Which is rather confusing.

    SCSI Drive cloning?

So I still need to put an image on there? How does that work, what software can I use on a modern or semi modern mac to make a blank image and put in on the SD Card? the SD card needs to have some kind of image in order for the Mac to recognize it? I'm just curious what the point of the image is?

    SCSI Drive cloning?

So what you're saying is that I can take a non formatted brand spanking new 2GB SD Card, put it in my BlueSCSI, plug it into my SE/30 and then it will recognze it and I can initialize there?

    SCSI Drive cloning?

What exactly do you mean by "disk folder"? I intend the BlueSCSI to be a permanent internal drive. Does System 7 automatically create a disk folder when it copies a disk? And can I boot off the disk that I want to be copied? Also, one thing I hadn't considered, what is the drive capacity limit...
