Thank you!
The art of simplicity. By the way, will I need to bless the System Folder? As I remember it, if applicable, it involves moving the System or Finder item in and out of the System Folder. This was last done by me a generation ago. :)
Hello
So I have a titanium PB G4. I just purchased an SSD and plan on doing the drive swap soon but before I do I am a little lost on how I image (backup) the data on the original HDD and transfer it to the SSD.
On OS X I would do a time machine backup and then use Migration assistant to move...
I found a really great article (in Japanese)
The article goes through repainting the Powerbook G3 and the results as shown in the photos look spectacular. I think this page is so important and the info as well that I have thrown it on the waybackmachine...
You might want to consider blocking the appropriate domain that manages Apple Music streaming. Search for "Music" here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210060
You can edit the file to include the domain
edit like this or with your favorite editor:
sudo nano /etc/hosts
add this

I use Apple Music myself, I actually love it but that does mean you have to of course. I was wondering what the main driver was that made the experience so discouraging, enough to cause you to roll back to BigSur? You mentioned something about ads showing up constantly, asking you to become a...
True on fix bugs but it is literally impossible to make bug free software today. There are and will likely always be bugs — software just breaks sometimes.
Sometimes yes, known bugs are not fixed in some release cycles, there can be several reasons for this, regression testing is one that takes...
It appears Apple got rid of this (screenshot) in Apple Music for Monterey. I am not sure what's up with this as I have not installed Monterey. I am trying to find more evidence of this on Apple's site
According to https://www.apple.com/apple-music/
It seems that the missing Restrictions...

I was wondering where I should start with this, or how to ask but here it is, and yes there is a lot of very good information on youtube on Proxmox, a free Linus OS whose sole existence is to install VM and containers. I don't know much about it yet as I literally discovered it a few days ago...
Steve was, without a doubt, a truly unique personality. Every keynote that he gave over the years was riveting. Although there are stories that he was a bad guy, he may have been when younger, sure, but on his return from NeXT he gave Apple a truly polished finish. The company felt complete and...
On Steve:
I was asleep. My son woke me up and told me Steve Jobs had died. A few days later I returned to Apple in Cork, Ireland; back to work. A few more days later Apple paused business as usual and everyone at Apple gathered to watch Apple Pay tribute to Steve's life. That was on Oct 19...
Ah yes, forgive me. The title of this post is as clear as day. This is for the II and IIx.
A bit of trivia: My first Mac was a IIx (40MBHD and 5MB RAM). I can't tell you how incredible it was to own one in 87 or so.
By the way, OWC still sells RAM at macsales.com for legacy Macs: https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/apple/memory/legacy
I just picked up enough RAM to max out my SE/30
I haven't read all the replies but as soon as I saw this thread I immediately thought of the "unofficial Apple VHS Archive" channel on YouTube. I searched the channel for "laserwriter" and there are a few Apple Service Videos on the LaserWriter models, including a 40 minute video on the...
Hello Kai.
Thank you for the hospitality and warm welcome for testers. I look forward to the day you go live and the key points have a lot of 'feels good' to it.
