    A takky Mac…..

@Trash80toG4 , i found buying or building a printer not that costly. A friend of mine bought a second hand for 50€ in mint condition. When you start printing bigger objects the price of the filament /consumables becomes the real expense. Still I found 3D printing parts very handy, especially...

    Good TFT for a 512K case ?

Quite some options…. ive found the crt conversion indeed the nicest… .but restricted to an 8” display. To chop the CRT, Ive initial used a conventional glasscutter, but found lateron this diamond flex cutterdisc to be the best way to get to the goal. Its amazing, and not so hard to use as you...

    A takky Mac…..

@Kai Robinson , dont know if it would fit a Plus chassis. But I suspect not intirely as its printed with a fairly thick wall. It does fit with the parts he chose very well. The eye for detail and his quality finish is superb ❤️

    A Classic II/LC III laptop/book….

@Trash80toG4 - thanks, but not much progress. Currently i have some other work to finish. Still enjoyable to see how Professional this Atari keyboard has been created. Love to see similar initiatives happening for some old Apple keyboards. V-Tech was - i believe - not that populair overhere...

    A Classic II/LC III laptop/book….

It took a while, but here they are….🍀 the low profile switches. The switch fits completely into the keycap at full stroke (2,5mm) switch moment at 1-1,2mm of its stroke - so thats ok. The added 3D printed connection platform will take some space, but expect that less than 1mm. That would bring...

    A Classic II/LC III laptop/book….

@François …. Nice Find! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/VTech_PreComputer_1000 Did check….august 1988….for V-Tech 1982 for the Apple concept. So it seems that Frogdesign was first. ✅ The V-Tech seems to have a pretty decent keyboard for a kiddy computer….🍀

    A Classic II/LC III laptop/book….

Well, thank you again. Learned allready some new things! I did not see any diodes inside this ADB - Apple keyboard. As its a one off (at least for now) I am not that keen creating a PCB, and I do not need USB. I can reuse the ADB PCB from the original keyboard. By that I can keep it simple and...

    A Classic II/LC III laptop/book….

@panman_gr ….. Right, thanks! I have a look. Certainly interresting! Does the program kicad support ADB as such? My idea was to simply connect the dots to the ADB pcb.

Hello to all! The weather is turning, daylight is on the move….time to continuem🍀 Reading back here, …….where got stuck… the only option to get a time period realistic keyboard is to create one myself. The idea is as before using the original Apple keycaps combined with a 3D printed adapter on...

    A takky Mac…..

@Trash80toG4 ….sure has been a while. Thanks for asking. Next step is still figuring out the other small PSU connector pinout to the PSU. I suspect the minus 5 Volts is needed for sound. Anyhow-anyway… as soon as the weather turnes bad, and the days get shorter, the journey continues. 🍀
