These seem small enough to build into the (empty) battery bay of a powerbook. Combine with a small usb-c battery pack… maybe a path back to portabllity? At a minimum this would require disabling of the stock power input port on the powerbook for safety.

How far can the rgb2hdmi go? Interested in hooking one to a powerbook duo internal video port, not sure if resolution/color depth is feasible. I’m also guessing the signaling from the powerbook is compatible- haven’t found a resource on the C&T driver or lcd spec. Is there a possibllity here...

Have LC475, ready for anything to max it out. Got a 40mhz 040, Haven’t ordered the MC88xx replacement chipset yet, but got a lot of practice with hot air rework this weekend, I’m ready! Interested to try the latest SW. control strip is very cool.

Board fab 6880 is rev 1 with Achip-A main IC, 6880m also looks like 1.0 (label covering) but has an Acard-A IC… just a label or actually different? 6880 switches and associated resistors are not populated, and also missing pci bracket… couldn’t find a bracket on another card with the right spacing.

I have an 6880M version as well, the main chip is different though- I’ll post photos.

Thanks for reviving an old thread, but I could use some help on converting 6880 to 6880M, this information is related but doesn’t quite cover it. Any tips on this conversion?

Does anyone have a datasheet for this video IC from C&T? Troubleshooting powerbook duo with this IC, cannot find any references.

I was able to make this work with a script in quickeys (slow) and keyquencer before I found Hidden Finder Features (but I use 7.5.5). I can look to see if my keyquencer script is still around, I don’t think it was too complex.

Had a building session this weekend… tashpads on the bottom. Fun build.
