Help identifying burnt resistor on Classic II analog board.

Exactly that position. I can't recognize a resistor by its stripes. Is that image from a 110V analog board? I ask that because there's also 220V versions. I have another board here, but it's a different revision. Looking at the same spot there's an extra resistor there...

Help identifying burnt resistor on Classic II analog board.

Hi folks. I am still trying to bring a Mac Classic II back to life. Now I'm working on the analog board. I found a serious cap leakage "scar" on the poor thing. I cleaned it the maximum I could, with IPA and a lot of the green soldering mask around the affected area peeled off. I turned my...

Help with gone wrong recapping attempt.

I saw those on a JDW's video. They seem great. The problem is that I don't know if it would be worth the investment, I don't see many motherbords to recap in the future. 😃

Help with gone wrong recapping attempt.

I have another board to recap (a newly acquired Classic II), I'll try the two soldering irons approach!

Help with gone wrong recapping attempt.

Soldering iron + flux + bit of new solder. It worked fine with the first ones… I dunno if I got inpacient and pulled the later ones too much with the twezzers. I heard hot air is better, but I dont have that equipment.

Help with gone wrong recapping attempt.

I come here to ask the favors of the recapping deities... In my first attempt to make a recap of my ORIGINAL mac classic from back in the day, I destroyed some of the capacitors' pads while removing the old caps. I suppose I can bodge wire the caps to the points shown below... Two...

    Apple II clone cards gerbers?

Hi Apple II folks. Are there open source/free Gerber files for Apple II cards? I’m particularly looking for mouse card, sound card and the RAMWORKS “overboard” (dunno if that’s the term in English, it’s the small board that plugs onto the RAMWORKS adding +512K). Thanks ☺

BlueSCSI - Open, Low Cost, DIY SCSI to SD device

On that matter I had no problems. My classic has an internal BlueSCSI which work fine with any of the following external SCSI devices: another BlueScsi; Pinnacle CD; Assanté SCSI/Ethernet; flatbed scanner. I only use one external device at a time, I never chained them.

BlueSCSI - Open, Low Cost, DIY SCSI to SD device

HELP! I've been using my DB25 BlueSCSI on my compact macs with no problem, Mac Plus and Mac Classic. Yesterday I was trying to bring a Frankenstein Performa 6xxx back to life. It is a 6500 motherboard on a P6300 case and an L2 Cache G3 accelerator. I plugged the BlueSCSI in and the machine...

Low-cost 3 MB RAM card for Macintosh Classic

This is awsome! I am modding a dead CRT Classic and Iwas thinking about a lower profile memory expansion. Your project fits perfectly! Put me in the line for one of those!

BlueSCSI - Open, Low Cost, DIY SCSI to SD device

Today I almost killed a Blue SCSI out of bad SMD soldering skills. But I ended up bringing it back from the dead with the help of some bodge wires 🤣

Run a Color Classic without an analog board or tube?

I have the exact problem with a 68030 upgraded Classic… and no shipping to blame… I broke the neck while trying to fiddle the accelerator board inside. After watching Adrian's video on RGBtoHDMI on the Classic I decided to go with an LCD. I've put this project aside but I am now willing to...

"Platinum" PLA for Macs and Apple ][s

Hi folks. I just got to this thread today. Thanks Joe for the updates on the 1st post. I’m in South America, so shipping will always be expensive! I’m definitely into for a couple of spools but I’m not sure yet where to buy from.

ADC to DVI (or VGA) adapter

This weekend I’ve put together my first PCB: It's a ADC to DVI adapter. It works very well. I just didn't test the USB pass through 'cause I bought the wrong part (connector). I used an old IBook 24V charger to power it. The creator’s website: https://www.jasondoesitall.com/adc/ This was...

What Beige Apple ADB keyboards/mice am I missing?

Great collection! I started collecting keyboard and mice as well. I don’t see a Newton keyboard in your collection, ok, it’s serial and not ADB but you can connect them to compact macs if you have the proper system extension.
