FYI, I finally got around to assembling and installing the battery eliminator in my backlight upgraded M5120 and can confirm it works well. I have the 7MB upgrade and the replacement hybrid card. No issues running it today after giving the caps time to charge up.

The black Mac no one asked for (Powermac G3 All-In-One Molar)

So, I had picked up a pair of G3 AIO machines recently. Unfortunately on one the right side of the case was badly scratched with terrible black marks. On the other, the left panel had damage. So I took the two good sides, retro-brighted them and took the best internal parts and made a good stock...

    Apple PC Compatibility Card (7" & 12") MS-DOS 6.22 / Windows 3.11 / Windows 95B / Windows 98SE Images

This is awesome! I haven't broken out my 6115 with the DOS card in a while, but this will give me a good reason to. I know I struggled with getting Windows 3.11 / DOS on it (I think I resorted to making floppies with a USB floppy drive and then installing it that way). I decided Windows 95/98...

Macintosh II 40mm to 56mm Speaker adapter

I recently discovered that my lack of boot chime on my Mac II was due to a bad speaker. I looked for some cheap 32 ohm speakers with a 56mm diameter, but the closest I found were these 40mm versions: uxcell 0.5 W 32 Ohm DIY Magnetic Speaker 40mm Round-Shape Replacement Loudspeaker for DVD/EVD...

Macintosh II & IIx replacement battery holders

OK, so I did a recap the board and saw no change. I also added in some 3xAAA holders for the batteries (with switches), so I can access them and turn them off when not planning on using the machine. I used rechargeable as I've never observed them leaking. I did also add a quick connect...

Broken legs on a Lisa keyboard key cap - 3d printed replacement

Unfortunately the Lisa has two stems side by side, versus the example you provided, which has a plus shape.

Broken legs on a Lisa keyboard key cap - 3d printed replacement

Good idea. Also, for the record, I am terrible at modeling, so if anyone wants to clean it up / improve it, I welcome that!

Unable to get recapped Performa 550 to power on

Are you sure the ADB keyboard is good? I believe you can short pin the PWR pin to ground to get it to boot without a working ADB keyboard with power button (http://www.interfacebus.com/ADB_Pinout.html). Also, it's usually not needed after a recap, but I've had some 550, Color Classic, MacTVs...

SCSI emulator for Mac Plus with '030 accelerator?

I have a Mac Plus with a 20MHz 030 accelerator and it works fine with my BlueSCSI. Different accelerator - it's a Total Systems Gemini board. I use the SCSI from the accelerator, as it is faster than the on-board SCSI on the Plus.

    Tech by Androda Products

I have replacement Portable batteries I've been testing. One is a 6V lead acid battery inside. One is a LiPo 6v battery. And the final is simply a board with the supercapacitors installed to let it run without an actual battery while plugged in. I do not have the original charger, so I've...

    6100/66 DOS Compatible

Might have to pick up this type of cooler for mine. The heat was pretty crazy when I ran mine briefly to set up Windows on it. Thanks for the inspiration!

Broken legs on a Lisa keyboard key cap - 3d printed replacement

So, I had picked up a Lisa 2/10 a while back. and while removing the key caps for cleaning, the kegs on the Caps Lock key broke. I tried various methods to re-attach the existing legs, but was unsuccessful at getting them attached, at the correct height, and the correct angle. I even tried...

Anyone willing to trade AppleDesign keyboards?

I have 3 AppleDesign keyboards in good condition, fully functional, but they do not have the ALPS controller needed to be used in this project: https://tinkerdifferent.com/threads/design68-a-65-replacement-keyboard-using-appledesign-controllers.2952/ Anyone have an abundance and have the "Made...

BlueSCSI V2 to Color Classic/Later Power Macintosh 3.5 Drive

Looks nice. That's a lot of supports to have that locking tab. I would guess with the weight of the BlueSCSI, the friction alone would hold. Would it make more sense to get rid of the locking tab and cut down on 90% of the supports?

Design68: A 65% replacement keyboard using AppleDesign controllers

Yeah, the LEDs were installed backwards. As for the 341-0875-A, I was mistaken. I had taken it the internal board out of an old Apple Keyboard II (M0487) not the AppleDesign. I've been trying to find more controllers and unfortunately, I only had a single keyboard with 3 screws, made in...

Design68: A 65% replacement keyboard using AppleDesign controllers

Possibly. I didn't actually realize the LEDs were polarized. So It is very possible I did it wrong. I'll be sure to get the correct polarity on my second board. I tried 2.54mm spacing but on my ANSI board they are closer to 2mm spacing, so my 90 connectors didn't work (a 4 pin connector...

Design68: A 65% replacement keyboard using AppleDesign controllers

Thanks for the response and for building out this PCB! I used the ANSI layout. I was waiting on key caps to come in before posting pictures, but ended up harvesting the caps from a Kechron K2 I had. It looks good. I'm not sure if I used the wrong LEDs, but I don't get any of the LEDs to...
