    Compact Mac Video Adapter

I know this is generally unrelated, but the extended version of that interview with Rand Miller is absolutely worth checking out. It's an hour and forty-seven minutes long, but it gives an amazingly personal, in-depth look at what "indie" game development was like at the time.

"Platinum" PLA for Macs and Apple ][s

Same - I've got STLs for a bunch of broken/missing parts that I've just never been able to get close on paint color.

Oh wow! That's such a wildly different design!

Macintosh Portrait Display Repair - Smearing/Pulsing Image on Screen

Welp, I'm back with an update! After taking a stab at designing an adapter that would let me use a common (and cheap) 15-pin Macintosh video cable, I finally have results... Old and busted: New hotness: It works great! After this revision (because I wasn't paying attention to the pin...

    Compact Mac Video Adapter

I'm curious, then - what the heck kind of display can you attach to it? Surely a TTL display is not just a drop-in compatible option, no?

    PDS DOS Compatibility Card Extender

Ah, sweet! Glad to hear they were amicable to distributing their design! And modifying it to eliminate the cable is exactly what I intend to do, lol. Let us know when it's in github - I'm chomping at the bit to take a look at it! :D

Well dang! That would be pretty awesome if we had a public version of that!

    PDS DOS Compatibility Card Extender

For fun, I tossed one of the images into Illustrator and it looks roughly square. My DOS card measures 101.7mm in height; assuming the extension is the exact same height (and using some math to figure out the scaling factor in Illustrator), the width came out to about 101.1mm. That doesn't take...

    PDS DOS Compatibility Card Extender

Sweet deal! I've just got mine from Mouser (mostly because I can just drive 20 minutes and pick them up from their will call), but this is a bit better long-term solution. I'm also working on a breakout board with almost exactly that same approach, so it's good to know I was probably barking up...

    PDS DOS Compatibility Card Extender

Been looking for one of these for a while now; never saw that reddit post, though - I hope they respond! I'd love to throw my DOS card into something other than the 6100 it's in now. Yep! The dumb thing, in my opinion, is that they (the OEM, not the guy that made the new one) could have just...

Macintosh Portrait Display Repair - Smearing/Pulsing Image on Screen

Thanks! I was hoping I'd be able to get it back in working order - I've wanted one of these for a long time, mostly because of how out of place they look next to pretty much everything else in terms of display hardware. Mine was manufactured in April 1989 (serial number HY9153YWM0404), but I am...

Macintosh Portrait Display Repair - Smearing/Pulsing Image on Screen

Hello all! I posted this on 68kMLA and thought it might be worth posting here as well. I acquired a Macintosh Portrait Display from a warehouse in Houston that had been there for possibly (probably) years, so I was not expecting it to outright work after being in the coastal Texas heat and...
