"Platinum" PLA for Macs and Apple ][s

Btw, did we ever get a proper match for the PowerBook grey? (well, which one, not sure there's a single one actually…) Should we make a topic for that?

"Platinum" PLA for Macs and Apple ][s

Just ordered 2kg from ColorFabb… For some reason attempting to pay with a bank card didn't work, but PayPal did… 🤷‍♂️ Anyway, I shall soon be able to print stuff with that :)

    Setting up webshop? (France/EU)

Yeah but it's only in English… Do they accept Euros at least? I think SiliconInsider is both on Tindie and eBay. Not sure I want to go eBay though.

    Setting up webshop? (France/EU)

During the covid lockdown I spent quite some time designing an AAUI2AUI adapter cable, and actually ordered parts to make like 20 or 30 of them since they were sold at least by 10 anyway… I still only have 2 of them finished though. 😅 (and making kits for this one is probably as time consuming...

    Hello from France…

First computer: ORIC Atmos First Mac: Mac LC-III Seems I haven't written an intro yet… I'm François, I supposedly have an engineering degree in CS & electronics, and I start way too many projects, some of which bitrot on MS GitHub. I contribute to many FLOSS projects, mainly Haiku, a Free...

"Platinum" PLA for Macs and Apple ][s

Oh, an interesting thread of Amiga people discussing filament colors as well. Another one on Atari colors…

"Platinum" PLA for Macs and Apple ][s

It seems the PolyTerra one isn't available in Europe yet, even Amazon doesn't have it. I mean, amazon.com has it, but amazon.fr only has the regular colors, not the Muted White… I found a PolyTerra distributor not too far and sent them a mail to see if they ever intend on selling it, but I guess...

    PPC NetPositive+ for PowerPC BeOS

The biggest problem was the network stack, which was written in a week because it was required for a demo, and it was in userland (net_server). It was later replaced with a much better in-kernel one called BONE (BeOS Network Environment, IIRC), except it never shipped in an official release as...

    PPC NetPositive+ for PowerPC BeOS

In theory it should be possible to build NetSurf, but I stopped maintaining C89 support on their codebase…

AT / ATX PSU replacement solutions and add-ons (links)

We were discussing different AT and ATX converters and addons on Discord so I though it'd be useful to collect them: ATX2AT Smart Converter: convert from ATX to AT, adding -5V. hkzlab's ATXm5v: an ATX -5V injector ATX -5V Adapter Board and modified adapter cable ATX Power for Retro Computers...

    NeXT and BlueSCSI question

I remember researching the partitioning scheme and filesystem for the NeXT when trying looking at the Haiku port… The NetBSD sources are quite interesting in this regard. Oh, I extracted the info from the NeXTstep headers it seems. At one point I wanted to add support for those in Linux tools...

Just wondering if others here had an ORIC machine… I have 3 Atmos and 1 ORIC-1, Jasmin 1 and Jasmin 2, and two MCP-40.

    Lynx II repair attempt

I'm trying to repair a friend's Lynx II that is stuck on "insert game". I replaced U9 (74HC164) which was hot and seemed to be shorting out some pins, but still get the message on power-on. Tracing the signals, I see repeated attempts at resetting the 4040 on MOTORON, but the chip selects from...

[Idea] Macintosh 68k Programming Study Group?

I'm more of the cross-compiling type, being used to git and other niceties, although there are possibilities to run git on older OSes too… How about Retro68 (GCC based) as a compiler? Haven't tried it yet. Also, the NetSurf team has a collection of toolchains for their CI that we might want to...
