I got this excellent idea from @Branchus, take off the tip, and snip out sections of the plunger around each side so air can move in/out (I don't bother putting the tip back on, works fine)
This works great - it freely moves in and after applying some, you can easily move it back so it doesn't...
I need to learn more about this card, IIRC it's currently just outputting the built-in Apple IIgs audio to two speakers (mono?) but I know there's a lot more it can do.
Another thing on the to-do list!

I use these same holders on all my Macs, they work very well! I've been using them on Macs that (normally) require the 4.5V battery as well and so far the 3V from the CR2032 batteries have worked well enough.
Yup, the LC 580 is the same, with an extra RAM slot not necessarily found on all other P630 variants. I've been using my LC580 board in a Performa 6220CD case (it's original case crumbled). I put a full 040 CPU into it and left it as-is.
