Portable SLEEPS even when it shouldn't? [SOLVED]

Probably not helpful and I don’t have a battery eliminator but I can recall that when I was having the wake from sleep issues early on where the machine would freeze for about 3 minutes after wake up when using the BlueSCSI, I had worked around it by forcing the computer to never sleep. i...

    BlueSCSI on Macintosh Portable

For the ram? Yes. Not a fix. A bandaid. It was an issue addressing the full 7MB so he made a mod daughter board so you could change it to 5MB. Later version had the mod built into the board. you could have sent the board to him and he would add the daughter board with the switch on it.

    BlueSCSI on Macintosh Portable

nice fix. That board is different than mine. Mine has a power connector on the bottom left and that’s where I’m jumpering 5v to gf the floppy drive to it to do the sleep fix originally. just to clarify and refresh my memory there were two sleep related issues back then • taking several minutes...

If you mean made some of your own silicone tubing, ya I’ve make a ton of replicated parts using that Smooth-On mold making silicone to make the molds and then cast in resin. You could use a hard shore silicone as the mold and then a softer shore to cast in. Could probly even 3d print one to use...

I have that also! 😂 I bought the 1mm first since it was all I could find and quickly learned that it doesn’t work. I glued it and then that made things even worse. Eventually that .8mm one showed up and I redrew it Now so I have like 20 feet of .1 and .8 tubing now.

This has been resolved. I tried 3d printing some TPU first and it didn’t work. The final solution that worked is a .8 inner diameter silicone tubing but it is hard to find with the required 4mm outer diameter. But I eventually found some and I have plenty. if you want to send more your info I...

Terminal / Modem program for Mac OS 8

Hi all, I’ve got the Duo 2300c that I just got working and need to test the modem. ZTerm crashes and I’m afraid to bother with Claris Works cause it’s for System 7 and installs a bunch of crap. Anyone know of a good term program that will work on OS 8 wether it’s native PPC or not?

Any interest in NEW Repro Lombard / Pismo battery packs?

Yeah my first one didn't go well. Now i squeeze the packs to loosen up the glue as much as possible then slip a flat blade under the connector where the enclosure wraps around the connector and carefully pry it up till the case starts to come apart and then work your way around.

Any interest in NEW Repro Lombard / Pismo battery packs?

I have one good pack that I was able to open and I will be using that I have others that are mangled and it would be a lot nicer to have a new repro enclosure. It will look fine on the side if it's an exact replica and nearly the same color. A lot better than taping together a busted up old...
