    Help with XT Turbo Clone

No doubt you have checked your work, but it may be worth checking those resistor solder points with a multimeter to make sure their is continuity from there to where the tracks go. Also those DIP sockets don't look the best, the fact that it does not beep at all would make me want to check the...

    1987 Macintosh Plus (Platinum)

    1987 Macintosh Plus (Platinum)

Damn, unless they are rectified coil output , have you tried a diode test across the pins either way, it's the wrong coil anyway but might explain why you are not getting continuity and may explain the cap popping

    1987 Macintosh Plus (Platinum)

That makes no sense to me, even if it's the wrong coil they should not be the same. I can send you a tested flyback if you want

    1987 Macintosh Plus (Platinum)

Just to confirm you have the correct flyback by resistance between pins. in Ohms Low side: Total ohms: pins 2 to 4: 0.30 = 4,3 + 3,1 +1,2 High side: Total ohms: pins 5 to 7: 3.50 = 5,8 + 8,7 Pin 6 is not connected. I found the older flyback has lower resistance, but the rule...

    PowerMac 8100 Booting issues

You are quite right, That's what it says in the Service source, i have not encountered an issue in real live though. Currently running my 8100/100 without a video card or terminator, that the link above shows my one going to flashing floppy as such.

    PowerMac 8100 Booting issues

The mac has sense pins on its monitor connections, it knows there is nothing there so will initialise nubus if monitors is connected there. HPV is not required.

Have you tried resetting after powerup? if the battery is flat or not present you just get black screen after bong, so the reset is necessary if the machine was off for a length of time. See here:
