    Performa 6400/200 lost video out

Hi! Any updates on this? I think I found my own Nemesis, too, in a Performa 6400 ... Got 2 in the mean time ... the first one was working like a charm but had no sound (neither chassis, nor headphone) ... so I got a 2nd one - and guess what. This one has sound but ... no video :(. Good thing...

Mac SE 2 FD - patterns

Thanks for the hints! ROM reseated and pins brushed with fibre-glass in-between - no change. (Will have to order some Deoxi ... but RAM itself was Ultrasonic'ed+, contacts fibre-glass pencilled - so it only can be the sockets) BBU no visible damage outside - removed - no visible damage...

    Quadra 840AV - chimes ... kinda ...

Yep, of course tested without anything ... only didn't unplug the HD from power :). It's getting interesting - I decided to replace all caps again ... started near the CPU working left to up ... testing after 2 replaced ones. So, after the first four - same behaviour ... then the next 2 ...

    Quadra 840AV - chimes ... kinda ...

Thanks Steve @Mac84 ! One thought crossed my mind today - could this be one of the rare occurrences, where capacitors with a "wrong" (too low) ESR or ripple could be the culprit?

    iMac G4 20" - Voltage issues

Adding to that ... the iMac was a "public info machine" during his previous life - and obviously some idi*** hat nothing better to do than poke with whatever in the openings. Meaning it's no only the mini-VGA socket that is destroyed - both Firewire and the ethernet port is damaged, too ... any...

    Quadra 840AV - chimes ... kinda ...

Thanks a lot for your answer, Bruce @Branchus . I am currently contemplating getting an Ultrasonic Cleaner (thanks for the review :)) as next step - still hoping I can avoid microscopic trace surgery. General interesting question would be, what the system is actually starting to do after...

    iMac G4 20" - Voltage issues

Hi, I recently acquired an iMac G4 20" which was DOA. Cleaned it, replaced the battery and re-capped all the "small" caps on the PSU, now it is booting and chiming - however the display stays dead. Unfortunetely the mini.VGA socket is ühysically wrecked, too, so I cannot check video there...

PowerCache Card in IIci -- Why So Slow?

Hi Colin, if talking about system score my guess would be a combination of the "advanced IIfx memory handling" plus the bus speed difference - the IIfx also sports a 40MHz bus. Cheers!
