Concept: MacintoshX - Game like its 1991, compute like its 1986!

right now, it's just a concept, I need people behind this to work, I need someone to program an FPGA as the MMU, design the control panel from scratch, and design the PCB for everything

Concept: MacintoshX - Game like its 1991, compute like its 1986!

I've been developing a concept that combines the hardware legacy of the original Macintosh with the flexibility of the Sega Genesis. The goal is to create a cartridge-based add-on for the Genesis that effectively transforms it into a Macintosh Plus clone while still allowing for normal Genesis...

    MacEffects Appreciation Post

yes I do, is the logic board for an SE SuperDrive/FDHD or an SE/30? If it's for a regular SE, I don't have any double density floppy drives, much less double density disks. Shall we move this to DMs?

    MacEffects Appreciation Post

I just got an SE SuperDrive from someone who said the case was broken, and it was very much unrepairable, I really should get a maceffects case for it, and a logic board because it didn't come with one

Why no fire wire storage dongles?

It would need to have daisy chaining compatability, so thing with only one firewire port can plug into multiple things if need be. Plus, firewire drives rarely fail so there's no need for one now

Two SE/30 Boards - memory woes

SE/30s are picky about their RAM, so it's just a matter of trial and error to see what works, and for the memory, the ROMinator is slightly thinner and a standard ROM SIMM, I know BMOW said there was a way to make it work in another forum post, but it has escaped my memory

    Checkerboard Macintosh Classic

any time, enjoy that Macintosh Classic! I used to own one, but I hated how slow it was on system 7.5 and was too stubborn to put it back to 7.1 or earlier, so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a Classic II

    Checkerboard Macintosh Classic

I've never used BlueSCSI, only SCSI2SD, but I believe the card should be formatted FAT32. ExFAT might work, but I'd check with others that have used the BlueSCSI to see if that works. And usually, I just order caps I need off digikey or mouser, but cap kits are the best way to go, especially...
