makes me wish there was a Free Geek in my state. I did find a 637CD Money Magazine at an ewaste facility a few towns away from me. Anyone willing to donate a full 68040?
Which logic board are you using? There are certain ones that require the addition of a 3.3V regulator and additional power supply per https://powercc.org/psu/
for 32-bit 68K Macs, they'll probably survive up to 2040, and I bet you future patches will make them work. For PowerPC, I imagine they can process years well after 2040, especially G3 and newer
right now, it's just a concept, I need people behind this to work, I need someone to program an FPGA as the MMU, design the control panel from scratch, and design the PCB for everything
I've been developing a concept that combines the hardware legacy of the original Macintosh with the flexibility of the Sega Genesis. The goal is to create a cartridge-based add-on for the Genesis that effectively transforms it into a Macintosh Plus clone while still allowing for normal Genesis...
yes I do, is the logic board for an SE SuperDrive/FDHD or an SE/30? If it's for a regular SE, I don't have any double density floppy drives, much less double density disks. Shall we move this to DMs?
I just got an SE SuperDrive from someone who said the case was broken, and it was very much unrepairable, I really should get a maceffects case for it, and a logic board because it didn't come with one
