[High Score Challenge 02] new batch: Mouse Stampede 2.0, Crystal Quest 2.2, Crab Attack II

Ugh, nope. Even System 7 says "will not copy due to copy protection". Copy II Mac will duplicate the disk, but the new disk doesn't work.

[High Score Challenge 02] new batch: Mouse Stampede 2.0, Crystal Quest 2.2, Crab Attack II

I'll try Copy II HD tomorrow — might do the trick. What would the flag be in the finder that prevents a file from copying in such an official way?

[High Score Challenge 02] new batch: Mouse Stampede 2.0, Crystal Quest 2.2, Crab Attack II

I was hoping to play on my 128k, but version 2 won't work and its floppy drive isn't reliable enough to read the disk — it seems to only like its own floppies. Perhaps I should just play on my Plus…but when I turned that on the analogue board made a sparking noise, so I fear it's not long for...

[High Score Challenge 02] new batch: Mouse Stampede 2.0, Crystal Quest 2.2, Crab Attack II

So, I'm going to start working on my Mouse Stampede entry, but: I have a copy of Mouse Stampede 1.0, which appears not to be on any of the usual sites. Even the downloads marked "1.0" actually seem to contain 2.0. The disk works, will boot my Mac Plus, but I can't copy it. Error in DiskCopy...

FloppyEMU (Dec 3rd 2022) newest firmware supports MOOF

It’s a crucial tool — I have two, and they’re absolutely indispensable. Real floppy disks aren’t going to be viable for ever, and very few of my Macs’ drives work. I should probably get onto that, but they’re very complicated and delicate.

Mac Plus stuck on "Welcome to Macintosh"

From the Mac Bible fourth edition: Also, for what it's worth, I just used SilverLining on my IIfx to format a BlueScsi which now works happily with System 5 on my Plus. Delightful.

    Brief intro

Hi everyone - a lot of you might recognise my handle from the 68kmla. I've been lurking here for a little while. Very impressive site, with a governance structure that puts most publicly listed companies to shame! I've been a Mac user since about 1985, when my dad brought home what I think must...

    Macintosh 128K Peripherals

By the by, as far as a mouse is concerned try TinkerBoy adaptors. And…keycaps DA?

    Macintosh 128K Peripherals

Looks like a SCSI upgrade. I have a 512 that’s upgraded that way. Mine had a MacRescue card — it can have up to four megs of RAM (in fact six, but the software to access the extra as a RAM disk seems to be lost). Probably had a 128k ROM upgrade as part of it, or SCSI would be useless. Does it boot?
