That’s what I do on my small NAS. I have a 4-drive RAID5 and external HDDs for backup. I use mergerfs to join my backup drives, since my RAID is far larger than any one available SATA/SAS HDD currently sold. - Alex

I have an HP 712/80 here, too, and I’ve always loved pizza box machines. I am (was?) certified for HP-UX (HP/UX, hp-ux) 10.x, and used 10.x and 11.x quite a bit. 9.04 is an odd beast, but I did use it, on a variety of early PA-RISC machines. - Alex
