SE/30 Reloaded build -- the dreaded Simasimac

Check the components inside the PLCC's for continuity. I am getting better results eliminating the PLCC sockets and soldering the components directly to the pads.

To make sure you get a 'Mac compatible card that would run under OS9' source one that has either the Mac compatible DB15 (2 row connector) or the word Mac on the card/label with a DE15 (3 row) connector. Recapped Macintosh Color Classic AB now making Ticking Sound & Fluctuating Voltages

Ok hopefully that'll do it. Letting it air dry is ok too, but I prefer shooting compressed air on the wet board and components to blow the alcohol all around, especially in those hard to reach places.

Recapped Macintosh Color Classic AB now making Ticking Sound & Fluctuating Voltages

Hey Luke- I just saw your post and wondered if you gave it a good alcohol scrub. If not, try spraying it down with 91% isopropyl (or higher), scrub the board and components gently with a toothbrush then blow it dry, preferably with an air compressor. Hope this helps. Good luck!

The later Classic and Classic II's (630-0525) have the 4 naked power pins without the plastic connector...
