    Axial caps NEVER need recapping?

You'd be wrong about that. Through the years I've read many people talk about what things they THINK need recapping and what they don't. Most of that goes beyond their own personal machine usage experience and also ties in with what they read online, or more accurately, what they DON'T read...

100ohm resistor on C6 capacitor of Mac 128k analog board

I bought a dead Mac 128k a while ago and now finally getting around to recapping it. It's been pretty straightforward, except for one capacitor. Noticed that someone added a 100ohm resistor on the negative side of the C6 capacitor on the analog board. Was curious if anyone knew what this was for?

Recapping the LC575 "Mystic" motherboard for the Color Classic

Since it's Thanksgiving in the US today, I should express my thanks for Panasonic's low-ESR OS-CON capacitors. They're the ideal choice when recapping of the LC575 "Mystic" motherboard, especially when you upgrade the CPU and/or overclock. Enjoy that turkey, friends! 🦃
