Agenda:​

Item 1:​

Discussing the creation of an Administrative Group

Notes:

• The Director of IT/Ops and Treasurer positions are sensitive in nature for a variety of reasons, and the Board is of the opinion that these positions should not rotate
• These positions seem like they should be in an Administrative Group and not part of the Board of Directors

Action Items:

• @Branchus will work on messaging around the Board's opinion

Item 2:​

Software Updates

Notes:

• There are newer versions of the forum software and plugins available, so we should upgrade
• The upgrade is likely to require some downtime to perform it safely (snapshot existing systems, install the update, testing after the update, etc)

Action Items:

• @eric will coordinate the updates

Item 3:​

Moderation Policy Enforcement

Notes:

• We have fairly-well-documented behavior standards, but there isn't really an officially documented system for how to handle those who break the rules
• This tends to result in a "slap on the wrist" and can be confusing

Action Items:

• @This Does Not Compute will coordinate the creation of an official policy/standard for rule enforcement

Item 4:​

Board Meeting Frequency

Notes:

• Trying to standardize on a recurring day of the month for Board Meetings to make scheduling easier

Action Items:

• @Kai Robinson will figure out schedule and calendar invites

Item 5:​

Tinker Different Finances / Donation Drive / Merch Store

Notes:

• Recently there have been a few larger one-time donations, for which we are grateful
• It would be helpful if we could recognize donors with a badge in the forum software and maybe a special color in Discord
• Thinking about doing a Donation Drive, Tinker Different finances are reliant on larger donations and isn't always self-sustaining
• The Merch Store has mostly Tinker Different branded things, we need more funny / entertaining designs

Action Items:

• @Branchus and @eric will own messaging and setup of badge plugins
• @Kai Robinson will set up a thread for Board-level merch suggestions

Item 6:​

Livestreams / Events for End of Year

Notes:

• We're hoping to do two livestreams / events as this year draws to a close
• One event will similar in format to previous streams where interesting projects are highlighted and include a Q&A segment
• The other event will aim toward gaming using the existing Tinker Different game server, and could possibly include some vintage gaming if we can make that work
