I guess the silver lining is this is the first system I've encountered with battery damage:
The chassis is pretty much completely rusted-out. I cleaned up the logic board a bit with vinegar and isopropyl:
The NuBus adapter had some damage as well. I scrubbed some of the corrosion off the edge connector pins, but C11 is completely gone and there's corrosion around many of the components:
The card that was installed seems to have fared pretty well.
This is my first experience with battery damage, so I don't know how "bad" this is (I guess I've had it pretty easy so far). Should I spend time trying to save this one, or just hang onto these boards for parts? Or does someone want a project?
