Cheesestraws is very high on my list of things that made me take breaks from the MLA. Bummer but I’m not shocked to see people like Cory get picked.

I remember Byrd as a pretty level headed person. No complaints there.

Bunsen could be a douche at times.

I’ve noticed a lot of the old MLA members from Down Under don’t post anymore. Guess they got tired of the hobby and moved on?

The owners/administration over at 68kmla is pretty much why I stopped going over there. I still get DMs from there time to time which is the only thing that keeps me logged in.

As an aside, that site was data breached at one point in the past because the unique password I used there got out on haveibeenpwned so theres that...

Interesting - have you got any idea when?

I have used a unique email address for my 68kmla account since 2019 and it is not in haveibeenpwned's database, so either it was before that, only a partial leak, or they got your account details another way. You haven't ever had a Yahoo email account have you? That has always been the biggest perpetual breach of personal information.

By the way, this thread is public.

This was years ago. I dont remember exactly when but it was a handful of years ago. Pretty sure this was from before they migrated hosting even.

And I remembered that I also used that PW over at diyaudio.com so my bad. I can't actually prove which forum it was but it was from one of the two.

I have a monitoring service and i will get a notification "Your information has been discovered on the dark web" and it wont reveal the whole password, only the first character and last character. All it takes is just those two chars for me to pretty much tell. So i tried it on haveibeenpwned, sure enough its been in one of those combolists.

This was purely based on the password (I use a password manager and theyre all random now). I only ever had one email and that was involved in multiple breaches. That email eventually died off and I have a different one now. That was an ISP email.
