Update: HC 0.8.3 is out, signed and notarised
Sorry for the French in my first post! Here is HC in English.
HC is a native HyperCard clone for today's Macs. It opens original
HyperCard 2.x stacks and runs their HyperTalk scripts: no emulator,
no ROM, no classic Mac OS.
- Universal app, Intel and Apple Silicon (a user just played the
pinball stack on an M5), macOS 10.13 and later.
- Signed with a Developer ID and notarised by Apple: download, open
the DMG, run. It even runs straight from the DMG.
- 4 MB, free and open source.
- Demo stacks included: a pinball game written in HyperTalk, Tetris,
music played with "play" and note strings, and more.
A few additions HyperCard never had, for games: polygon buttons with
colours, "the keysDown" for held keys, and field colours. Everything
else aims to behave exactly like HyperCard 2.4.1, checked against the
real thing running in Basilisk II.
