Recently picked up a flock of nine compact macs along with seven keyboards.
Five Mac Plus
One SE
One SE/30 (battery bomb, boo)
One Classic (also battery bomb)
One Classic II (somehow not bombed, survived the dreaded red maxell)
Haven't investigated the Pluses. According to the previous owner, most of their floppy drives are not working and a few of them will start up. Motherboards are pristine and clean, with only one unit having a slight battery leak.
SE works fine, which is nice and also not really surprising.
SE/30 has probably the least damage from a battery bomb that I've ever seen. Cleaned it up, patched a few obvious damaged vias, and all I get on the display is an extremely bright horizonal line. Must consult the dead mac scrolls on this one later.
Didn't even try the Classic, it was eaten pretty well by the battery bomb. Classic II on the other hand fired right up after capacitors were replaced on the motherboard. Need to go back and do analog boards on these later (and won't use them again until the caps are done).
Probably my most valuable find so far, $150 for the lot of it and the seller has more in a storage unit. Likely including one or more IIgs.
